Define this part of the purchase
Assign an item reference to every sofa module and companion piece. Record the approved configuration and orientation, then connect those references to the supplier quote and packing list. This is especially useful when a sectional arrives as several packages.
A SUPPLIER-PUBLISHED VISUAL REFERENCE
A curved seating composition

KUKA HOME’s seating presentation gives a concrete example of how the sofa outline changes the conversation area. Compare the actual model dimensions, arm shape and route around the seats before translating this appearance into a room plan. The photograph identifies the supplier example; the selected specification belongs in the quotation.
Details to include in your enquiry
- Overall sofa dimensions and configuration
- Seat, arm and back proportions
- Upholstery reference and care information
- Coffee-table and side-table relationships
- Packed dimensions and access route
Connect each detail to the item reference and the supplier’s written response. Record which decisions require approval before the order progresses.
A relevant official starting point
MLISSIA Casa — published category or service information. Use the supplier page to establish an initial category fit, then request the product-specific information for your order.
Keep the category connected to the master schedule
Record the agreed quantities, selected options and any outstanding questions before accepting the final proposal. Use stable item references across the quote, drawings where relevant, inspection records and packing list. When a change affects another supplier or the destination installer, update the master schedule and obtain the necessary review.

Develop the practical specification
Define the ordered configuration
Identify the sofa as a complete arrangement of modules, arms, cushions and legs. A sectional viewed from the front can be described differently by different suppliers, so include an orientation drawing in the order. Record which modules connect and whether a component is reversible. The receiving team should be able to connect every package reference to this arrangement. If the supplier proposes a change, compare the resulting configuration rather than approving an isolated photograph of a similar sofa.
Review construction and covering separately
Ask for information about the frame, support system, cushion construction and covering. A fabric abrasion result, foam description or frame-material claim answers only part of the product question. Keep each statement within the scope of the actual component documentation. Physical comfort is also personal: a construction description can help explain a product, while an identified sample or showroom evaluation addresses the experience the buyer prefers. Do not treat one technical number as a complete comfort or durability score.
Prepare receiving and care
Obtain both overall and packed dimensions and review the actual route into the home. Identify assembly steps, package weights where provided and the space needed to unpack modules safely. The destination team should plan handling for the actual products. Keep upholstery care information separate from instructions for wood, metal or other visible surfaces. Retain the fabric and finish codes with the item reference so a future service enquiry identifies the supplied component rather than the nearest catalogue name.
