Dining tables & chairs from China

Compare the dining table, chairs and storage as one practical setting.

Define this part of the purchase

Request separate item lines for the table, chairs and any sideboard. Confirm quantities, approved finishes and assembly information for each. If the pieces are sourced from different suppliers, review the final selection sheet before confirming the combined order.

A SUPPLIER-PUBLISHED VISUAL REFERENCE

Read the dining set as one arrangement

SNIMAY’s Pure dining-room presentation can be read as a relationship between the table, chairs and surrounding storage. In your own plan, draw the chairs occupied and pulled back. The useful comparison is the working arrangement, including the route past the table, rather than the tabletop size alone.

Details to include in your enquiry

  • Table dimensions and base position
  • Chair dimensions and arm clearance
  • Selected top, frame and upholstery finishes
  • Number of places and daily seating routine
  • Assembly, packaging and handling needs

Connect each detail to the item reference and the supplier’s written response. Record which decisions require approval before the order progresses.

Keep the category connected to the master schedule

Record the agreed quantities, selected options and any outstanding questions before accepting the final proposal. Use stable item references across the quote, drawings where relevant, inspection records and packing list. When a change affects another supplier or the destination installer, update the master schedule and obtain the necessary review.

Develop the practical specification

Review the table and seating as a combination

Compare the actual chair dimensions with the table’s top, apron and base arrangement. A table may appear generous in a photograph while its base affects where people can sit. Show the proposed chairs in a scaled plan and review both normal use and the space needed to move them. If the dining area connects to the kitchen or a walkway, assess the whole arrangement with the designer instead of selecting the table from seat-count marketing alone.

Specify tops, edges and supports

Record the tabletop material and finish, edge detail, base reference and assembly arrangement. A natural-stone top and a visually similar ceramic or engineered surface should retain separate identities and care instructions. Ask which parts are supplied together and who reviews any required support or fixing details. If the top is fabricated to order, connect its drawing to the approved base and keep the relevant revision with the quotation. A finish approval does not establish the geometry of the assembly.

Check quantities and service references

List chairs, armchairs, extension parts and sideboards as distinct order lines. Confirm whether upholstery, glides or assembly fittings differ between those lines. At receiving, check the components before disposing of identifying packaging. Store product and finish references with care instructions for the installed set. This is particularly useful when a buyer later adds chairs or requests a replacement component: the original reference makes the enquiry more precise even if the current catalogue photograph has changed.
